5 Jawans killed in “Kathua terror attack” jammu and kashmir

Terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir have increased in recent weeks. On 8 July, a horrific terror attack came into spotlight . This is the 2nd terror attack in 48 Hours. A army vehicle was attacked by the terrorist in Billawar, kathua district. As per the report the terrorists fired at the vehicle from hill-top. 5 jawans lost their lives and 5 other are severely injured and battling for life. Injured jawans from the kathua terror attack have been moved to military hospital in Pathankot for treatment.

Similar incident occurred on June 11 and 12 resulting “Twin attack” at Doda district. 6 jawans were injured at Chattargalla on June 11 and A police was injured in gunfight at Kota on 12 June

As per the reports, this attack is executed by 3 or 4 terrorists. The terrorist camped at the hilltop waiting for the army vehicle, it is said that localists were also involved in giving the information to the terrorist about the route. The terrorist were equipped with hand grenades and high end guns. After initial attack (grenade) the vehicle went through tremendous firing. The aim of the terror attack was to kill as much as possible.

Army forces are deployed in Jammu & Kashmir to search and shoot down the culprits.
