A recent study conducted by Indian Council Of Medical Research found that in 2021, India had 101 million diabetic patients while 136 were pre diabetic. Type 2 Diabetes is a chronic metabolic disease characterised by too much sugar circulating in the blood , also called Hyperglycaemia. The high blood sugar levels can cause circulatory, immune and nervous system disorders . The diabetics are characterised by abnormalities in fat distribution, increase in total fat mass , decrease in muscle mass and bone mineral density.
