“Friends” star Matthew Perry’s autopsy reported that anaesthetic ketamine is the cause of his death.
Ketamine: Reason of Matthew’s Death
On Friday 15th December, in an autopsy report ketamine was found in Matthew’s system. It’s been two months, Matthew died with an unrevealed cause of death but yesterday an autopsy reported continuously taking ketamine infusion therapy was getting him closer towards death by dysfunction in the system.
The Department of Medical Examiner said additional factors contributing to his demise were listed as drowning, coronary artery disease, and buprenorphine effects. Matthew was suffering from depression and anxiety, so he was taking this ketamine infusion therapy. Besides that according to the report he took his last therapy more than a week before his death but the ketamine in his system could not be from that under four hours, treatment since the drug’s half-life.

Actor Matthew Perry came back from the dead. That happened in 2018. According to US media reports, his heart stopped working for 5 minutes during surgery after his colon ruptured. After that he was in a coma for about 2 weeks.

Ketamine Infusion Therapy
In the 1960s, ketamine was used as a human and animal anaesthetic. But Pacific Neuroscience Institute claims, now this is used as treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic pain and many more.
As perry was consuming this therapy before his death, but when the medical examiner confirmed that it is harmful and caused death, it was too late for him and the ketamine found unclear from his system. High amount of Ketamine caused his high blood pressure, raised his heart rate and dulled the impulse to breathe. According to his report, coronary artery disease would make him more susceptible to the effect of drugs.
