The most anticipated rom-com of all times, Ishq Vishk Rebound fails to captivate the viewers because of the un clear storyline.
Introduction
2 decades ago, Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao made their silver screen appearance with Ishq Vishk capturing the hearts of the audience and winning their affection. 2o years later a sequel of the same, one of the most loved film was announced and that too with a Gen-Z touch to it, a love story of modern times and the audience haven’t taken a back seat since then.
A lot has changed in the dating norms over the past 21 years, hasn’t it? And this is what the film promises us o deliver, a love story of this generation, a love story where people can relate, because that’s how Gen-Z cops up with things, by connecting it to each others experiences and stories.

The movie is set in todays modern world, It consists of all the things ranging from friendship, love triangle to struggling with ones aspiration and highlighting the way youth deals with their problem, but still the movie fails to keep the audience hooked because of a confusing plot and half cooked story.
It starts with Rohit Saraf (Raghav), Pashmina Roshan (Sanya) and Jibraan Khan (Sahir) shown as the unbreakable trio, Sahir and Sanya are childhood sweethearts but situations lead them to break apart with Sanya falling back on Raghav as a rebound who also went through a breakup with Riya (Naila Grrewal) well one of the reasons might be Sanya herself because Raghav’s girlfriend couldn’t keep up with her attitude and also Raghav choosing his friendship over his relationship.
The films focus point was to explore the theme of a rebound relationship where people in todays time jump on from one relationship to another without actually processing the split with their former partner, there were many aspects and instances which were untouched and which should have been focused. The theme is literally left un explored where the makers could have addressed some of the major issues the youth goes through they left the audience confused.
One of the few scenes where the movie actually touch the strings was the conversation between Raghav and Sanya where he tries to explain the beauty of conversation and the art of letting things go.
The film could have been written in a more clear way with actually focusing on the sub plots which were worthy enough to focus on the actual issues and concern faced by the youngsters.

Though the story feels underdeveloped, the performance by Rohit Saraf is praise worthy, he actually carries the weight of the film and has been consistent throughout, his charming screen presence never fails to impress the audience, Jibraan and Naila with their limited screen time also managed to pull a good and commendable performance.
Pashmina as a debutant with the maximum screen time delivers a decent performance with a necessary acting polish.
The songs of the movies are drool worthy which can make you groove at any given moment.
The movie could have been a lot more better if it had a clear writing and good story development, Ishq Vishk Rebound was released on 21st June.
