Aiming at the Prime Minister Narendra Modi over bringing forward the Ukraine visit, which is expected to clash with the Country’s National Day, Jairam Ramesh from Congress on July 28, Sunday questioned about whether the Prime Minister of the country would go to Manipur where there has been an ongoing ethnic conflict, before or after his visit to the European Nation.
Ramesh posted a tweet on X, where he stated that the CM of Manipur attended the NITI Aayog meeting which was held in New Delhi presided over by the self-smeared “non-biological PM”. The Manipur CM also attended a meeting of BJP CM’s and deputy CM’s that was also presided over by the same ‘deity’. Ramesh called the Prime Minister a ‘deity’ in sarcasm.
He also talked about, the question that people of Manipur are constantly finding an answer for, Did Shri N. Biren Singh meet the prime minister separately to discuss whatever has been going on since May 3 2023 in the burning state? Did he invite PM Narendra Modi to visit Manipur before or even after his visit to Ukraine?
The Congress has continuously criticized the Prime Minister for not going to Manipur even when it still goes on to burn because of the violent conflict between the Meitei and the Kuki communities. The fact is also that the Prime Minister’s party BJP governs Manipur.
The Ukraine visit that has been planned would be the first visit of the Prime Minister to meet President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The country was attacked severely by Russia in February 2022 and President Zelenskyy was one of the few people who congratulated PM Narendra Modi for getting into power for the Third time in June.
