Three days after the Ukrainian drone attack ignited the massive storage fuel in Russia, the fire is still burning. This enormous fire at the Proletarsk oil storage complex couldn’t be deemed even after almost 500 firemen assembled. After the failed attempts, on Thursday the oil storage witnessed the orthodox priest of Russia pay a visit to the area and prayed there.

The Fire Through Ukrainian Air Strike
Through the RIA news agencies reports it is notified that about 20 storage tanks out of 74 were on fire.
The local Orthodox priest charmed their prayers beside the engines on Wednesday and brought an icon to show their support for the firemen and their extreme effort. The priest brought a big icon of the unscorched bush considering it as the talisman, protection against the fire.
Vasily Golubev, regional governor disclosed the reason for the fire as the Ukrainian drone was on strike. The Russian army shot down the drone however the debris from the drone caused this massive fuel fire in the office facility.
“Not to give in to panic” message disseminated through the Russian state media, as they assured the people that the fire would not spread to the residential area of the territory. Even when the Russian officials declared a state emergency after the event.
The local governor disclosed the severity of the situation. Almost 41 firefighters had to enlist for medical attention because of the fire effect. This number included five more people who were taken for emergency care.
Any official comment is yet to be revealed by Ukraine on this airstrike in Russia. But it is already thought out as a strategic plan. As the Russian oil infrastructure was already a part of their strike. This is thought to be part of the Ukrainian strategy of the counter Moscow full-scale incursion that happened back in February 2022.
The strike was carried out by the Ukrainian Navy in cooperation with other units, the general staff of the Ukrainian armed forces said on Facebook.
Even when there is no official comment the previous report indicates that a S-300 a striking air defence system was flying near the Novoshakhtinsk in the Rostov Region. The attack was executed by the Ukrainian Navy as disclosed on Facebook.
The Drone Attacks on Moscow are Nearing
Various parts of Russian territory are under Ukrainian air defence surveillance. The Russian authority confirmed 11 Ukrainian drones they shot down that were prying in the land. This Ukrainian incursion that took place a little over two weeks ago is one of the biggest attacks that Russia faced in a long time. Sergei Sobyanin, opened up about the incursion and the seriousness of the issue however no comments were made about the casualties.
On the other side, Ukraine also reported about Russia’s air attack and shooting down almost 50 drones and missiles.
