Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to visit Bihar on the day of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas on November 15. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects . The year is important as it is also the start of the 150th birth anniversary celebration of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.

The tribal communities led various freedom movements in different regions across the country against colonial rule. Janjatiya Gaurav Divas is celebrated as an annual event on November 15, which marks the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Birsa Munda. This day is also dedicated to recognize and honour the contribution of tribal communities in the freedom movement and for preserving culture and heritage.

Janjatiya Gaurav Divas is celebrated every year, in the year 2021 the Union cabinet approved November 15 as Janjatiya Gaurav Divas to celebrate the contributions of the tribal community in the freedom movement and to make the new generations know about the contribution and sacrifices made by tribal freedom fighters. Janjatiya Gaurav Divas have been celebrated in the country and the first was celebrated in the year 2021.This year the fourth Janjatiya Gaurav Divas is being celebrated.
Launch of different Development projects by PM Modi in Bihar on Janjatiya Gaurav Divas
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 15,the day of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, will be visiting Jamui, Bihar. The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple projects of around Rs.6,640 crores as per the official statement released. The projects launched are an effort towards upliftment of tribal communities and infrastructure development.
The various projects include inauguration of Van Dhan Vikas Kendra by the Prime Minister. These kendra is an initiative towards promoting entrepreneurship and in livelihood generation. Furthermore, for tribal students 10 Eklavya model residential schools. The Prime Minister will also participate in the Grih Pravesh of 11,000 houses which are completed under the scheme Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN).
Other development projects include laying of foundation stone for a 500 km of new roads for greater connectivity and 25 Eklavya Model Residential School, inauguration of two Tribal freedom fighters museums in Madhya Pradesh and also the inauguration of two Tribal research institutes will be done, among other projects.
