In Haryana’s Gurugram, a tragic incident unfolded in the early hours of this Friday, leaving a 20-year-old boy, Ashish, dead behind a Ramlila pandal in the Bheem Nagar area. The young man, a resident of Bheem Nagar, was employed as a DJ operator and had gone to watch a Ramlila performance with his friend, Karan. The cause of the altercation leading to this tragic event remains unknown.
Police Investigation and Legal Action in the Shooting Case
The news of the shooting reached the local police, who promptly arrived at the scene. Ashish was rushed to a nearby hospital but, tragically, was declared brought dead upon arrival. The victim’s uncle, Suraj, filed a complaint that shed some light on the incident. According to Suraj, Ashish and his friend Karan were enjoying the Ramlila performance on Thursday night. Around 1 am on Friday, Suraj received the devastating news that Ashish had been shot.
Suraj recounted that upon reaching the hospital, Ashish’s friends Karan and Dheeraj revealed the harrowing details of the incident. They explained that Ashish had a confrontation with two men, Nishi and Rohan, who ultimately shot him. The shooting took place behind the Ramlila pandal at approximately 12:30 am.
Acting on Suraj’s complaint, the police registered an FIR against Nishi and Rohan under Indian Penal Code Sections 302 (murder) and 34 (common intention), along with relevant sections of the Arms Act. The accused individuals, Nishi and Rohan, are currently evading arrest, but authorities have vowed to apprehend them promptly.
A Disturbing Surge in Violent Incidents Across India
This tragic incident follows a disturbing trend of violent incidents across India. In Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, a 25-year-old man named Vishal Prasad was shot dead by his friend Abhishek Lal. The alleged motive behind this shooting was the suspicion that Vishal had stolen Abhishek’s mobile phone. Abhishek had accused Vishal of the theft and, after an argument, lured Vishal to Ramdas Bhatta area, where he fatally shot him in the chest.
In another unsettling case from North East Delhi’s Bhajanpura, a 36-year-old Amazon senior manager, Harpreet Singh, was shot dead. Five youths on two-wheelers opened unprovoked fire on Harpreet, who was declared brought dead at the hospital. The fatal gunshot injury was located behind the right ear, with the exit wound on the opposite side. Another individual, Govind, who owns a Momo restaurant, was also injured during the incident and was subsequently referred to LNJP hospital.
Lastly, a grim incident unfolded in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, where a man named Mehrajuddin was shot dead. His wife, Shama, and her partner, Akib, were implicated in the crime. The motive for this brutal act stemmed from Mehrajuddin’s disapproval of his wife’s relationship with Akib. The victim’s brother, Nawajuddin, reported that Mehrajuddin was shot while he was sleeping.
