Aamir Khan has recently announced his latest project as a producer for the film Lahore 1947. This announcement comes with his partnership with Sunny Deol and Raj Kumar Santoshi.
Renowned Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol will be working together for the first time in the upcoming film, Lahore 1947. Sunny Deol will play the lead in Raj Kumar Santoshi’s next film Lahore 1947, which will be produced by Aamir Khan and his production company, The Aamir Khan Productions. This will be Sunny Deol’s next film after the raging box office hit, Gadar 2.
The film’s plot will be centred around the historical event, the Indo-Pakistan partition in 1947 starring Sunny Deol. The film’s plot is reported to be derived from the famous award-winning play ‘Jisne Lahore nahi dekhya, vo jamye nahi’. It’s assumed to be a truth-bearing analysis of partition events. Even though media tabloids and fans are awaiting more updates regarding the project, it is said that the narrative would centre on a Muslim family that relocates to India following the partition.
Aamir Khan’s announcement
Aamir announced the movie on Instagram which left fans hungry for more. The actor announced the information on the Instagram page of his production company stating that he was thrilled and excited to announce his next upcoming project called Lahore 1947. He further wrote that he will be collaborating with Bollywood’s pristine, Sunny Deol and Raj Kumar Santoshi.
He stated Raj Kumar Santoshi is his favourite director which is why he is thrilled to work with him. He also expressed his excitement to work with the incredibly talented Sunny Deol. He stated he is hopeful about the path the film will be taking as it looks promising and enriching. Lastly, he requested fans for their support and blessings for the success of the film.
Fans are especially excited as this film reunites Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Santoshi after a three-decade break. Their last project together was the legendary cult-classic Hindi film, “Andaz Apna Apna” which was released in 1994. Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi, on the other hand, have worked together to make a number of hit films, including “Ghayal,” “Damini,” and “Ghatak.” With these legendary collaborations, there is no doubt why the internet is buzzing with excitement upon the announcement of their latest project.
Even though this is the first time Sunny Deol and Aamir Khan are partnering up, both actors have had momentous box office clashes before in the span of their massively successful careers.
