The opening fire resulted in the bus plunging into a gorge, The locals were rushed to the site to help the injured, while 9 died and several injured including Children.

Mohit Sharma, the officer (Police, Reasi district) on the site told the reporters, that the bus plunged into the gorge because of the decontrol of the bus due to the gun firing alleged by the terrorists. 33 injured passengers were rescued and evacuated by 8 pm with the help of locals, the injured were sent to different hospitals in Reasi, Teryath, and GMC in Jammu. Identification of the deceased is still incomplete, though they are all possibly from Uttar Pradesh’.

A victim told the media that the firing count was around 25-30 following the fall of Bus into the Gorge. Another Victim describes the shooters wearing red mufflers with masked faces.

The search for the responsible terror forces began by the Reasi security forces to eliminate the terror. Pakistani terror elements continue to pose a threat by trying to stir up unrest and revive militancy in the Jammu region; concluded from the past attack incidents. Hence, The Reasi attack is termed a “clear case of a terror attack” by SSP Sharma.

The Shiv Khori temple is under strict patrol and firing practice has been started by village defense guards and the area is put on alert.

CRPF and Police have joined hands to put a multidimensional operation to get the attackers. Additionally, Protests are being held against the terrorist attacks.

Recent reports from Hindustan Times Suggests involvement of Pakistan based Lashkar-e- Tayyiba (LeT) in the gruesome attack, on the other hand, LeT’s front TRF shows that the attack was done by Home grown terrorist moving across the forest of Rajouri-Poonch Jungles, rather than foreign Islamists of Lahore. “The attack was held on the occasion of oath taking ceremony with deliberation according to official sources” Hindustan Times Report says.
