With the introduction of the Agniveer scheme, can we sense a feud between the two political leaders because of Rahul Gandhi’s disagreement towards the scheme.

Chirag Paswan is the political leader and a former actor from the Hindi Film Industry who is currently serving as the first president of The Lok Janshakti Party from the year 2021, he also served as the second president of Lok Janshakti Party for a tenure of two years starting from 2019-2021. Recently Congress leader Rahul Gandhi slammed the new Agniveer scheme by the Prime Minister stating that, it is doing no good to country by limiting the serving period of a person for the nation, he said that freezing the service of period people who are true patriots to mere 4 years will shatter their dream to serve the nation. He also stated that once in power, the Indian Bloc will demolish this scheme and will bring back the old way on how the Indian Army used to work because according to him the Indian Army itself is not happy and does not endorse and support the scheme.

The Agniveer Scheme was introduced in India in 2022 on 14th June by the prime minister, Narendra Modi. This new defence recruitment conducted by the Ministry of Defence scheme is mainly formed for the youth of India, who wish to serve their mother land, who are patriotic and has an undying love for the nation. This scheme states that youth from all over India between the age of 17.5-21 can apply in the Indian Army and after selection can serve the nation for 4 years including a training session of 6 months. The selected people will be termed as “Agniveers”. They will be offered an annual package of 4.76 lakhs and which will be increased upto 6.9lakh per annum. After completion of the tenure the youth will be given a tax-free service fund of upto 11.7 lakhs and not only this, they will also be given allowance for risk and hardships in addition to the disability and death compensation.
The youth after completion of the tenure will most likely be skilled, proficient, disciplined and experienced individuals who can excel in any field which they want to go ahead with in their lives. After the completion they will also be offered to apply for the regular cadre . This scheme motivates the youth to be a risk taking individual with dynamism and discipline.

Feud between the 2 political leaders

Recently, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi stated that the Agniveer Scheme is no good to the nation, he said that this scheme is restricting people to fulfill their dream to serve the country permanently because of its 4 year tenure, he also said that once the Indian Bloc is in power they will demolish this scheme and will go ahead with the previous recruitment process in army. He stated that this scheme is made to turn the soldiers as “labourers”.
Reacting to his statement, Chirah Paswan, the president of Lok Janshakti party stated that the people who term “sanatani” as a disease which is destroying nation and those who fail to discuss about the people of Bihar and their problems while they meet and more importantly discuss about throwing each other mutton parties will always fail to understand the actual motive behind the schemes which are made to strengthen and build up the youth of the nation. Paswan, threw the “mutton” remark after a video of Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav went viral where they were seen relishing mutton.
