Airtel And Apple To Form a Partnership: Apple To Expand Share In Indian Markets

1

Bharti Airtel and Apple have entered into a partnership this week. Through this new strategic move, they aim to increase their market profitability, and Apple plans to increase its market penetration in the Indian markets.

What Will The Partnership Lead to?

The partnership between these two multimedia giants is expected to benefit the consumers by providing them access to diverse and high-quality content. The Airtel users under this new arrangement will have access to the facility of Apple TV+ along with the Apple Music service. This will further enhance their experience with the entertainment industry and give them access to premium content on a daily basis.

How Will The Customers Benefit?

The customers who have the subscription of the Airtel XStream will now enjoy premium access to content that is exclusive to Apple TV+. This content will also include critically acclaimed and award winning Hollywood movies, kids shows, documentaries, exclusive music, etc., as a part of their WiFi and postpaid plans. They will also be eligible to use Apple Music.

Apple and Airtel with their new partnership will be able to capture a huge chunk of the market share and satisfy the entertainment demands of the masses. This will provide greater value to the users and improve the company reputation. For Apple, this would be a crucial step to capture a larger market base in India. Right now, Apple is only a small player in India, and faces stiff competition from other platforms like Netflix, Prime Video and others. This collaboration with Airtel is expected to rapidly expand its user base.

When Will These Services Be Rolled Out And At What Expense?

These services are expected to be rolled out later this year. However, the exact value of these services or the exact date of the new services has not been notified so far. It is also expected that Airtel will shut off its own music app, Wynk, and absorb all the employees at the same time.

How this deal fares out for the companies involved and the customers, and if it changes the entertainment landscape in India and in what way, are yet to be seen.
