With India’s most grand Ambani wedding going on where celebrities from all over the globe are invited and are appearing in Mumbai. From Kim Kardashian to John Cena, major global people show up for Ambani’s and grace the occasion. However, according to reports, Akshay Kumar missed the wedding as he got tested positive for COVID 19 for the third time.
This isn’t the first time that the Bollywood star got infected by the virus. He earlier got tested positive in April 2021 and another time he missed the Cannes Film Festival happening in France because of the infection in 2022.

Kumar testing positive for Covid-19
According to sources that are close to Akshay Kumar, the bollywood star had been feeling ill since the last 2 days as he was travelling for the promotions of his new film, Sarfira. After giving a test, the result confirmed Covid-19 and since then Kumar has been isolated and following all the necessary health protocols.
Akshay Kumar got tested positive on the same day the Ambani wedding was taking place, that is on July 12. This is what caused him to miss his final promotions for his film that was released on Friday and not show up at the wedding.
A source confirmed to HT City that a few of his crew members also got tested positive for the virus during the promotions and hence it got passed on to the Bollywood star.

Meanwhile, the Ambani-Merchant wedding is taking place for three days in Mumbai. The Pheras happened yesterday, the ‘Ashirwad’ ceremony will take place today, Saturday, July 13 and the reception will happen on Sunday, July 14.
The majestic guest list includes celebrities from around the globe like John Cena, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Mike Tyson, self help speaker Jay Shetty, Ex- British Prime minister Boris Johnson and other prominent leaders.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas were also spotted at the wedding festivities. Mamta Banerjee was also spotted at the wedding festivities along with other celebrities like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, The Bachchan’s, Kiara Advani, Hardik Pandya, Deepika Padukone and many others.
