Akshay Kumar, one of the most popular and hardworking actors in the Indian film industry, recently shared his opinions and insights on leading a healthy life. He also emphasized the importance of fitness and urged individuals to prioritize their health.

He talked about how individuals should work more to achieve long-lasting well-being rather than any of the superficial shortcuts. The Bell Bottom actor decided to share his philosophy related to the importance of health and fitness.

In a recent appearance on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s program “Mann Ki Baat”, the actor showcased his commitment to fitness and well-being. While sharing some enlightening insights into his regular fitness regime, he consistently emphasized the importance and impact of prioritizing health and being disciplined in everyday life.

He urged the viewers to not consider the actors as role models for the way they live their lives and instead advocated for realistic lifestyles. He requested everyone to choose a ‘fitter life’ than a ‘filter life’.

1.1 Akshay Kumar Talks About His Passion And Approach Towards Fitness

In the time he spent on PM Modi’s program, the actor tried his level best to connect with the audience and make them understand his take on fitness. He advocated for a ‘natural approach’ towards fitness and also highlighted his passion for living a healthy life.

Akshay mentioned that apart from visiting ‘fancy gyms’ for fitness training, outdoor activities also hold great importance in our routine. He talked about how activities like swimming, badminton, climbing stairs, exercising with Mudgal as well and maintaining a healthy balanced diet are essential for a positive lifestyle.

1.2 Akshay Kumar Urges Everyone Not To Take Fitness Inspiration From Actors

As the actor emphasized the importance of discerning what should be considered beneficial for a person’s fitness goal and journey, he also offered valuable advice to the audience. He stated that one must follow a doctor’s advice when changing their lifestyle instead of after seeing the body of some film star. He continued and said that the way actors tend to look on the screen is often not how they look in real life.

The Mission Mangal actor also went on to share another message to the people willing to work for a fitter life. He said that there are several filters and special effects that are used while acting in a movie and when we people see that it influences us to opt for the wrong shortcuts to change our body appearance.

He pointed out how so many people are inclined towards using steroids to achieve six-pack or eight-pack abs without considering its harmful effects. These shortcuts may result in changing the external appearance of a person but will continue to serve as a poison for the body leaving it hollow.

Akshay ended this discussion on steroids asking the audience to remember that opting for ‘shortcuts’ can cut your life short and that’s not what we want from life. So, one must aim for long-lasting fitness instead.

1.3 A New Year Resolution For All

The actor compared fitness to a form of “tapasya” or a divine effort and hard work. With a new year around the corner, he requested the audience watching and listening to him to commit. He urged the people to take a natural approach and avoid the ingestion of any chemicals as well as discouraged any shortcuts to get fitter. He talked in favour of yoga, exercise, meditation and a healthy diet while embracing one’s natural beauty. In conclusion, he said that one should opt for a ‘fitter life’ over a ‘filter life’.

A few days back, the actor offered his fans a sneak peek into an important part of his fitness routine on his Instagram handle. He revealed his routine of practising with a Mudgal. And went on to share the story of how his father used to practice with it and how it made him fall in love with the Mudgal. For years now the actor has been using a traditional wooden mudgal weighing 6.5kgs every day to enhance his fitness routine.
