Recently, Ananya Pandey was seen on the Koffee with Karan show along with her bestie Sara Ali Khan on Season 8 Episode Number 3 and was hosted by Bollywood director Karan Johar. He asked her on the show whether she was haunted by any of the comments made against her in the past. Especially when she had mentioned that her father, the renowned talented actor Chunky Pandey is still struggling and has never made it to the Koffee with Karan show.
Ananya Pandey was apparently brutally trolled for her statements and also when she had just begun to put her foot into the industry. The young actress replied to Karan Johar that indeed she was feeling quite troubled initially but eventually over time she accepted and has got over it as she knows what she meant by that when she said such a thing.
Ananya Pandey also mentioned that the problem with her is that her brain and her mouth have zero coordination. She said this because apparently she believes that she has to say something else, something else goes on in her mind and she speaks out something else eventually.
She says that she began her acting career when she was 18 years old and has grown up in front of people of the industry but there are few things and moments of her life that are permanently present for the people to remember ,to watch and to judge even when she has changed so much from what she used to be earlier.
She even mentioned that before coming to the shoot of the new season of Koffee with Karan ,she had watched the earlier season when she had made an appearance. She felt that it is not the same person she was when she had first come to Koffee with Karan.
She said she realises that over time she has changed so much more than before and just could not relate with the person she has been so far. She mentioned that she is hoping the industry people and her audiences too acknowledge and appreciate the big change in her now and then.
What Ananya Pandey had said on her father Chunky Pandey
Ananya’s views on nepotism had gone viral in the year 2020 in the show The Newcomer Round Table on CNN News. By then she had already made her acting debut with Student of the Year 2. She had stated that even if she is Chunky Pandey’s daughter ,it is not easy for her to bag roles and make a mark in the industry.
She had said that her father is still struggling to get roles in films in spite of being in the industry for so many years as an actor and has yet not been cast in any of the Dharma Productions films nor been invited to Koffee with Karan.
Ananya Pandey further added saying she always wanted to be an actor. And just because her father is an actor,she will never say no to such an opportunity. She concluded saying its not easy for her to be in the industry in spite of her family background and that everybody in the industry has their own journey and struggles that they have to go through anyhow.
Recently on the show both Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Pandey were invited together where she revealed that Sara Ali Khan had threatened her some time ago when they both were interested in the same guy and Sara Ali Khan had asked her to stay away from the guy as she also liked him. This was of course as a part of sharing the friendship aspect between the two on the show.
