Following the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, filmmaker Anees Bazmee is set to bring Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 to audiences, a blend of psychological horror with comedy. The teaser and poster have stirred excitement, and the film’s trailer will be launched at an event in Jaipur on Wednesday.
At the trailer launch event, the director shared his thoughts, saying the project is close to his heart and he’s excited to introduce something new and compelling to the audience. “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is a project very close to my heart. We have pushed the boundaries of the horror-comedy genre to bring something fresh and entertaining,” speaking to ANI.
Anees Bazmee highlights Team’s Hard Work
The film features Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Tripti Dimri, Rajpal Yadav, and Rajesh Sharma. Anees Bazmee appreciated the work of his entire cast, crew members and technicians. “Working with such a talented. cast and the entire team from crew members to technicians has been an absolute pleasure, and I’m confident the audience will enjoy the journey we’ve crafted for them,” according to ANI he said.
The director also shared how he continued filming despite a leg injury. “One could say I shot the film sitting on one leg. The injury occurred just a week or ten days before filming began.” Though doctors advised him to rest for 4 to 6 months of rest, he continued working to keep the Diwali release date.”If I had delayed shooting, we would have missed the date,” he said in a statement shared by his team.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Murad Khetani. Vidya Balan is making her return to the franchise with this Diwali 2024 release, having played the iconic role of Manjulika from the 2007 hit. Earlier, the teaser for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 was revealed, marking the highly anticipated return of Vidya Balan as the iconic Manjulika.

The teaser starts with the haunting tune of “Ami Je Tomar,” which marks Vidya Balan’s return to the franchise. The preview pays tribute to one of the most chilling scenes from the first film, where Manjulika lifted a bed. In this new installment she is seen lifting a heavy chair, screaming with intensity as she tries to break free from confinement.
Rooh Baba, played by Kartik Aryan, makes a dramatic entrance, asking “Kya Laga tha Kahani Khatam hogayi?” The teaser showcases an enraged Manjulika trying to escape from her dungeon, building suspense and intense confrontation. Ahead of the teaser release, fans were teased with an intriguing poster showing a haunted palace and ghostly silhouettes filling the darkened sky.
Kartik Aaryan took to Instagram to express his joy over Vidya Balan’s return, “And it’s happening. OG Manjulika is coming back to the world of Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Super thrilled to welcome @balanvidya. This Diwali is going to be crackling! #Bhool Bhulaiyaa3.”
The Film’s team had previously shared a chilling blood-stained door poster, posted by Kartik Aryan, creating anticipation for a thrilling cinematic experience this Diwali Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 set to premiere during the Diwali festival in 2024, it aims to deliver the franchise’s signature combination of psychological horror and comedy.
