Looking back, it still surprises me that we dared to put that on the poster and that audiences embraced it so wholeheartedly. Thank you for keeping Parinda alive in your hearts after all these years. Parinda(a bird) is a 1989 Hindi crime-drama film.It was directed,produced and distributed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.The recent hit of Vidhu Vinod is 12th Fail,starring Vikrant Massey.In the film, Parinda,it stars Jackie Shroff,Anil Kapoor,Nana Patekar and Madhuri Dixit.

“Parinda” follows the story of two orphaned brothers, Kishan and Karan, who grow up on the streets of Bombay. To provide a better life for Karan, Kishan works for a gangster named Anna Seth, who uses an oil factory as a front for his illegal activities. When Karan returns from studying in the U.S., he is unaware of Kishan’s criminal ties.

Tragedy strikes when Inspector Prakash, Karan’s friend, is murdered by Anna’s men during Karan’s reunion, leading Karan to believe he is responsible. As Karan learns the truth about Anna’s role in Prakash’s death, he decides to infiltrate Anna’s gang for revenge.

He engages in a dangerous game of deception, ultimately killing several gang members and manipulating Anna’s operations. However, on his wedding night with Paro, Prakash’s sister, Karan and Paro are both killed by Anna, leading Kishan to seek vengeance for his brother’s death. The film explores themes of loyalty, love, and the consequences of a life entwined with crime.

Parinda won two National Film Awards and five FilmFare Awards.Chopra also remade Parinda as a Hollywood Film titled Broken Horses.

Anil Kapoor is going to be seen in his new film,Subedaar.Anil Kappor is playing the character as Subedaar Arjun Maurya.It also stars Shiddat,Angrezi Medium actress, Radhikka Madan as Anil’s daughter.
