Annu Kapoor,an Indian actor,producer,singer has been seen in over hundred of films like 7 Khoon Maaf,Khuda Hafiz,Jolly LLB 2,Tehzaab and recently seen in Hamare Baarah, criticized Shahrukh Khan’s film Chak De! Annu Kappor,who also does a radio show named,Suhaana Safar with Annu Kapoor ignites controversy in a chat with ANI.He said,
‘‘The main character in Chak De! India is based on a famous coach Negi Saab.But in India they want to show Muslim as a good character and make fun of Pandit(Hindu Priest).This is something old when they used the idea of Ganga-Jamuni Tehzaab (Hindu-Muslim unity)to put a label on it.’’
Through this he wanted to express his beliefs on how the film-makers sidelined Hindu representation.
According to him,the makers portrayed Shahrukh Khan as Kabir Khan,a Muslim coach whereas in reality the original name of the coach is Mir Rajan Negi.The hit 2007 film,Chak De! India,is been targeted by Annu Kapoor for not portraying the original religion of the coach.
Annu Kappor’s statement on working with Priyanka Chopra
Annu Kapoor never step back from being vocal and this statement came out soon after he recalled his experience working with Priyanka Chopra in 7 Khoon Maaf. He revealed that Priyanka was reluctant to kiss him on-screen, suggesting that her hesitation might have been due to his role not being that of the film’s lead hero.He said that in the movie she might not have a problem if he has a face and a personality of a ‘hero.’
