Arshad Warsi Praises Rajkummar Rao, Calls ‘Stree 2’ the Last Great Film He Watched

Stree 2 has set a new record as the highest-grossing Hindi film in India, eclipsing the total earnings of the Hindi version of ‘Jawan.’

Arshad Warsi recently appeared in an interview with Mashable India, where he was asked about the most recent film he enjoyed and liked the most.To which he replied,“I saw Stree 2. I loved it, I thought it was fab. I really liked it. Rajkumar Raois so good, he is such a good actor. I enjoy when I see money go into good use. When you spend so much money on a film and then people like that.”

Arshad Warsi is a huge admirer of ‘Stree 2’, the horror-comedy that achieved blockbuster status.When asked about the last film he enjoyed, he promptly cited ‘Stree 2’, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor.Earlier, Arshad Warsi expressed that he ‘wasn’t completely satisfied’ with the script of ‘Jolly LLB 2’ and advocated for Akshay Kumar to be cast in the film.

However,Arshad has been into spotlight for commenting on the review of films.In the past,he also made a controversial statement on Prabhas,South Indian actor. In a podcast, Warsi said that Prabhas’s character in Kalki 2898 AD was “like a joker”. This comment upset Prabhas fans and members of the Telugu film industry. 

He expressed his expectations for the film to match the intensity of Mad Max, but ultimately felt disappointed. He addressed the backlash he received for his comments.He said,“I have already decided I will love every film that I am going to see. I have made up my mind, every actor I like, every script I like, every director I like.”

About Stree 2 and it’s success

Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank picks up where the first film left off, continuing the blend of horror and comedy. The story follows the residents of Chanderi as they confront the return of the vengeful spirit, Stree.This time, a new threat emerges in the form of a powerful entity that intensifies the chaos and fear in the town. The new storyline of this horror-comedy centers on a headless monster named Sarkate, who kidnaps women in the small town of Chanderi. As the townspeople are gripped by fear, Vicky, Rudra, Jana, and Bittu team up with Shraddha’s unnamed character to come up with a plan to confront Sarkate.

As the characters, including the original heroes, band together to uncover the mystery behind this new menace, they must face their own fears and insecurities. With a mix of humor, thrilling moments, and supernatural elements, the film explores themes of bravery and unity against the odds, while delivering entertaining twists that keep the audience on edge.

Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik, features Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. It is a sequel to the 2018 film Stree. The creators have also shared plans for a third movie, and they’re already working on the script as part of the film’s promotions.

Notably, Stree 2 became the first Hindi film to surpass ₹600 crore at the domestic box office, achieving this milestone on its 39th day after its release on August 15.
