Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa who is in charge of the All-India Congress Committee Rajasthan cadre has taken stringent disciplinary actions against around 49 leaders of the grand old party. These leaders were stated not to be working as per the party guidelines. These 49 leaders were immediately expelled from the party for six years. Some of the well-known leaders comprise MLAs Joharilal Meena from the constituency of Rajgarh-Laxmangarh and former MLA Shrigopal Baheti from the constituency of Pushkar.

Some other expelled leaders include Sunil Parhar from the Siwana constituency, Habibur Rehman from Nagaur, Fateh Khan from the constituency of Sheo, Virendra Beniwal from the area of Lunkaransar, Khiladi Lal Bairwa from Baseri, Dr. Param Navdeep Singh from the constituency of Sangaria, Mahesh Mordia from the constituency of Dhod and Prahlad Narayan Bairwa. Randhawa has also cautioned the Congress workers who are in support of these notorious leaders in place of the party’s authorized candidates. He has given them two days to come and participate in the campaign of the party’s authorized candidate.

The BJP has also sacked Kailash Chandra Meghwal, the former speaker of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. He was also a Union Minister of State in the Government of India and the former national vice president of the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party).

He was expecting a saffron ticket for the Shahpura Assembly segment failing which he declared himself as an independent candidate against the BJP’s official candidate, Lalaram Bairwa, which resulted in his immediate expulsion from the Saffron party. He was earlier suspended from the party’s primary membership after he hurled accusations of corruption at Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal.

Other leaders who were expelled by the BJP include Jitendra Meena, the ex-president of Scheduled Tribe Morcha (Rajasthan). He was expelled on the grounds of contesting against the party’s authorized candidate. Other suspended BJP leaders include Asha Meena from Sawai Madhopur and former MLA Bansidhar Bajiya along with 10 others from the Sikar constituency for their anti-party actions. This decision was taken after having several discussions with them to convince them to support the party’s official candidates.
