While “Kill” follows some familiar tropes of the action thriller genre, it distinguishes itself with its character- driven approach and the moral complexities.
Why such a slow start for a dharma film ??
The movie has groped more seats in Mumbai and South Indian cities as compared to the North and circuits like Bihar.
The movie was previously introduced at various film festivals. At the Toronto International Film Festival, it was hailed as a ‘dazzling’ and ‘near perfection action thriller ‘ movie by the critics.
Despite being under Dharma productions, the movie failed in the promotion stage. This disturbed the budget of the film.
The film however has performed way better in the USA. It surpassed 1000 screens across North America. Meanwhile the movie was challenged by ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ in india. The movie starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone outperformed all the numbers in box-office.
