Canada terminated its Student Direct Stream (SDS) program which facilitated the study permit process for international students with utmost ease and convenience effective from November 8, 2024. The Student Direct Stream (SDS) program was launched in 2018 by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The primary objective was to simplify the visa application process for students meeting specific requirements from around 14 countries, including India. Cyclone ‘Dana’ updates: According to The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Cyclone ‘Dana’ has weakened without causing any casualties in Orissa and is expected to weaken further and become insignificant.
