The Madras High Court has suggested that the Bar Councils of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry establish a minimum stipend to protect the livelihood of a young lawyer. Judges SM Subramaniam and C Kumarappan observed that junior attorneys often struggled to make ends meet due to the meager compensation received by their older counsel. Additionally, the court decided that it could not let junior attorneys be treated unfairly by more experienced attorneys by denying them work without providing a minimal stipend. Prajwal Revanna’s SIT detention is extended by a Bengaluru court till June 10.  Prajwala Revanna, a suspended leader of the Janata Dal (S), was placed in police custody till June 10 by a Bengaluru court on Thursday in relation to allegations of sexual assault. The mandatory one-year rural service requirement for MBBS students was lifted by the Karnataka High Court in 2012. After altering the pictures of at least seven girls and sharing the lewd pictures in a Whatsapp group, four young lads from the city have been charged. A portion of the females whose images have been altered are pupils of one of the most established private schools in Pulakeshinagar, East Bengaluru, while the remaining girls are former students of that same institution.
