Formula One team Haas were allowed to leave the Zandvoort circuit, after their debt was paid off to their former sponsor Uralkali. The American team owned by billionaire Gene Haas were retained back by the Dutch authorities, for their unpaid debt to Uralkali, they could leave only if the amount was paid off. Uralkali is a Russian sponsor, and also has close connections with former Russian Haas driver Nikita Mazepin. Lando Norris, the 24 year old British McLaren driver won the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort on Sunday, beating Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing with a close margin. This is also his second Grand Prix victory after Miami in his career, thereby making him a strong contender in the 2024 Drivers Championship. Australian driver Jack Doohan has claimed his F1 seat in Alpine, replacing Esteban Ocon, who is moving to Haas, next season.  He is set to make his debut in Melbourne, the season opener race in 2025, along with fellow Australians on the grid, Oscar Piastri and Daniel Ricciardo.
