France Elections 2024 second round of voting ended with left-wing parties as the surprising victor , beating both President Emmanuel Macron’s centrist coalition and Le Pen’s far right party coming in last.  No one group is even close to a majority, the left-wing group won 177 seats, Centrist won 148 and the far-right won 142 seats. Iran Presidential Election runoff won by  reformist candidate Masoud Pezeshkian. The second and final round of polling closed and the vote counting began a few hours ago . The voting for the second round started on Friday morning.The winner will replace late President Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash on May 19th. Iran-backed Hezbollah, militant group operating from Lebanon launched a big attack on Israel in retaliation for killing its senior commander in southern Lebanon a day earlier. The attack was one of the largest so far between Israel-Hezbollah cross border fighting. There has been regular exchange of fires across the borders since Israel launched a war in Gaza last year.
