Undertaking the first foreign trip of his third term as Prime Minister, Modi will leave for Italy today in order to attend the 50th G7 leaders summit. He will attend an outreach session of the summit accompanied by a high-level delegation. The World Health Organisation reported that a Mexican man died due to the H5N2 bird flu, a virus that has never been detected in humans before. It is not clear how the victim contracted the virus, although the H5N2 virus has been reported before in poultry. The Organisation reported that the 59 year old man who died in Mexico had traces of the virus despite having no reported contact with poultry or other animals. A bill seeking to sanction the International Criminal Court after its chief prosecutor accused the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of War crimes has recently been ratified by the US House. Chinese authorities have accused the UK of recruiting a Chinese couple for spying for the M16 security network. The man named Wang and his partner Zhou who were working in a Chinese central state agency traded state secrets to the M16 over several years in exchange for financial incentives and material benefits, the statement by Chinese officials claimed.
