An official statement from Bad Boys 4
On Monday, Sony Pictures said that the following Bad Boys film will have an early release date of a week. Now, on June 7, the unnamed Bad Boys Sequel will debut. In February of last year, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence declared that the subsequent movie will go ahead. After Smith’s live slap of Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscar Prizes, this would be his first officially approved original movie. The Emancipation, which Smith previously recorded, was scheduled for release in December 2022.
Filming for the fourth Bad Boys started in Atlanta, Georgia, in April, but it was suspended in July due to a strike by the American Association of Broadcasting and Television Artists and the Screen Actors Guild. The movie’s June 14 debut was postponed by Sony.
