Four Days After Incident, Bengaluru PG Accused Eludes Capture

A horrific incident took place on Tuesday night in the Koramangala district of Bangalore. Where a 22-year-old woman, Krutika Kumari, hailing from Bihar, was brutally stabbed to death in her PG’s corridor. The accusedd stabbled her multiple times slitting her throat in the end while the entire incident got captured on the CCTV camera of the PG, yet the police failed to arrest the killer even after 4 days. The shocking incident occurred between 11:10 and 11:30 pm late at night on Tuesday. Kriti Kumari was a 22-year-old woman from Bihar who recently moved to the 3rd floor of Bhargavi Staying Home and was said to be a corporate employee. The murderer at first can be seen entering the PG accommodations along with the girl and later drags her out in the corridor. He stabs the girl several times on her face, neck, and chest, ending up killing her in the end, and runs from the crime stop. Krutika in the footage was seen retaliating and screaming for help, unfortunately losing her life in the end.

The footage also shows people peeking at her while she screams for help, yet no one comes to help her. Later, she was declared dead on being taken to the hospital. 


What led to the horrific incident?

According to the authorities, the accused Abhishek, hailed from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and was also said to be related to the victim and her roommate. Krutika was seen leaving the PG around 10 p.m. and later returned along with the accused around 11:30. On Tuesday night, the two had an argument, which later took a horrific turn when the guy ended up slitting her throat after stabbing her multiple times, blaming her for provoking and initiating her roommate’s breakup. Krutika suggested to her roommate to break up with her boyfriend and move into her flat, where she shifted a couple of days ago. In fact, two days earlier, the accused himself helped them in shifting.

The accused can be seen holding a polythene bag in the video, which contained a sharp knife. But how did he manage to execute this bone chilling incident surpassing 3 floors of a woman’s PG? Why did anyone not stop him? Where was the security? The police authorities mentioned that some PG accommodations provide rooms to their tenants without proper documentation and security facilities. PG where the victim was residing was of the same kind. Later, investigating authorities also found out that the girl introduced the accused as her brother while she moved into that PG.

What are the authorities doing?

A FIR (first information report) has been registered against the PG owner for their negligence. . In the CCTV footage, the face of the accused is clearly visible while running out after brutally stabbing the 22-year-old, yet the police fail to arrest him. The incident happened on Tuesday night, yet the FIR against the accused was registered late. The slow proceeding and carelessness of the police have already resulted in the delaying of the accused’s arrest. East DSP Sara Sheikh stated, “Already my teams are working on the field; we will crack the case.” 

It has been 4 days of investigation procedures, and the case still remains unsolved, involving several loopholes that are yet to be discovered. The accused still remains absconding while the police fail to track him.
