Narendra Modi, born on September 17, 1950, is an influential Indian politician who has left a significant mark on the country’s political landscape. He served as the Prime Minister of India from May 2014 to my knowledge cutoff in September 2021. Modi is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a prominent leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu nationalist organization.

Before becoming Prime Minister, Narender Modi held the position of Chief Minister of the Indian state of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014. His tenure was marked by both economic development and controversy, particularly related to the 2002 Gujarat riots.

As Prime Minister, Modi focused on initiatives like “Make in India” to promote manufacturing, “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” for cleanliness, and “Digital India” for technology-driven growth. His foreign policy aimed to strengthen India’s global standing.

Modi’s leadership style is characterized by strong centralization and charisma, drawing both admirers and critics. He secured a second term as Prime Minister in 2019. During his tenure, he addressed diverse challenges such as economic reforms, national security, and healthcare. However, opinions on his policies and governance remain deeply polarized in India.

Prime Minister’s new initiative

Prime minister Modi is believed to be someone who leads by setting an example himself. Prime Minister on Sunday 1st October, participated in the cleanliness drive himself  with wrestler Ankit Baiyanpuriya, demonstrating his determination and commitment to the great cause of cleaning india.

In a video, PM Modi was seen wielding a broom and cleaning, symbolizing the importance of everyone across the nation. This calls for active participation from all people across the country for the country’s betterment.

India is seen to be growing in every field. In terms of cleanliness, India is still trying to regain its cleanliness. This great initiative called ‘ Ek tareekh ek ghanta ek saath’ was carried out across the nation.

Narendar Modi has taken it into social media and has posted that he is himself initiating work swachh bharat abhiyan and he’s got the swachh and swachh bharat vibe.

Prominent leaders from bhartiya janta party ( BJP), from all over the country are supporting the cause and also participating in the voluntary labor.

Why this event has gained so much popularity

This initiative by PM Modi has gained more popularity and support as it is also inspiring to practice the swachh bharat initiative on 2nd October, birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Mahatma Gandhi was the one who led this movement of swachh bharat abhiyaan from the start. Now that Mahatma Gandhi’s anniversary is tomorrow, everyone is excited to work on his vision and change the country for the better.

Not just for tomorrow, the initiative was implemented today also at 10 am for a one hour cleanliness drive across the nation. This is truly amazing to witness India working together for a cleaner nation.

Not just common people but also the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and the Ministry of Civil Aviation organized a cleanliness drive at a public place between the Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan and the entrance of the Safdarjung Airport.

Now that the country’s focus is again brought on the cleanliness aspect. It’s high time to give our own efforts and change our nation with individual and team work. If we start cleanliness from our own homes, colonies, societies we can still make a huge impact. So, Everyone should now start working to implement the long seen vision of Mahatma Gandhi. Now that Narendra Modi Ji has again started the movement with grace.
