ED’s claims on Bhupesh Baghel involvement in the case
Previously, the ED had claimed that probes have revealed the startling allegation that Mahadev betting app promoters have paid around RS 508 crore to the Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel and expressing his concern over the issue he said that this case is a matter of proper investigations.
However, the opposition party’s leaders are striking in the questions regarding the timings of these raids by ED and alleged that this was just a part of tactics and strategies of BJP to use such independent organizations to malice their name and to take benefit from this in the assembly elections of Chhattisgarh.
The Chhattisgarh CM Baghel, called these ED’s moves as malicious acts and rejected all the claims made against him by calling out BJP to misuse app probes to win the elections. He further goes on saying that the ED closed their statement by regarding the case as a matter of investigations and this investigation has not taken place yet. So without any proper investigation, ED can issue a press release that too on the statements and words of a single individual.

Congress on Mahadev betting app case
Congress on the other hand have regarded the intervention of Election commission to stop the misuse of app probes and the raids that continued to be carried out during the elections as the complete breach of the model code of conduct and the violation of the free and fair elections in the democratic country like India and regarded it as an attempt to malice in their names because the BJP already knew that they are losing on the election and thus to take a safe path they used such cheap tactics of putting false allegation on the opposition parties leaders, as expressed by congress leaders.
However, the results of the exit polls are yet to be out for the first phase assembly elections, it will be interesting to see the impact of this Mahadev betting app case on these elections results. The second phase of the elections is scheduled on 17 November and will be politically fascinating to follow the impacts on this case over the minds and turnouts of the voters to cast their votes.
