US President Joe Biden reiterated the need to reduce the aggressive actions by the Israeli forces. He urged for the less aggressive measures to the Israeli government. As per the media sources, Hamas has set up its headquarters in Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza. However, bombardment and rolling up of tanks to the main gates of the hospital should not be the means to defeat the militant group.
The tussle between Israel and the Hamas group further increased when there was an attack on Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest medical infrastructure of the city. This has become the main centre of the crisis. Many countries started to condemn the actions of Israeli forces for the devastation.
As Al Jazeera reported, the Israeli military has closed the entrance of the hospital, where thousands of people have been trapped and injured later on amid the continuous bombardment. Israeli forces started to implement the strategy of encircling the hospitals of the city, as they claimed that Hamas had set up their basement in the hospital premises. Even, ambulances have been prevented and medical supplies and food stocks are running very low as the stationed forces have been not allowed to enter anything inside the premises of the hospital.
Least bothered about human rights
Thousands of Palestinians, who have no stakes with the Hamas group are still residing inside the hospital- Al Jazeera confirmed. Strategizing the stationing of the Israeli forces in different parts of the hospital has encircled the entire facility.
All the civilians have been trapped by the Israeli military forces across four hospitals in the city. Israeli forces even stopped the food and essentials. Civilians lack food. The prevention by the forces of the necessary medical staff has created an awful situation across the city.

As interviewed by Al-Jazeera, the director of Al-Shifa Hospital mentioned the hospital as ‘the battlefield’. But, still, the hospital staff have pledged to stay with the patients in this crisis. Health officials added that Israeli tanks were stationed at four hospitals in Gaza from all directions to prevent the mobility of the civilians.
Condemnation for the action
Washington, even before this incident, had witnessed a mass protest against the Israeli forces with compassion towards the Palestinian cause. Most of the countries have condemned the action of consolidating the forces surrounding the medical facility. The chief of WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus reiterated the bitter tone for the Israeli forces to create the ‘disturbing situation’ at the medical facility.

The US has not only reiterated its support for the Israeli government but also urged for the prevention of aggressive measures, the Biden administration is showing solidarity with the civilians of the Gaza Strip.
Claims of Israeli forces
Israel claimed two weeks ago that Hamas has built their headquarters in the bunkers and tunnels under those hospitals. Hamas has made the hospitals and schools for safe passage. Israeli official sources claimed that they were well-convinced that Israeli forces could not attack this civilian facility to root out the militant group.
The IDF spokesperson displayed a satellite image of the hospital with some military equipment. Moreover, the captured members of the group also stated that they were hidden in the basement of the hospital.
Biden’s statement can be an effective factor in reducing the intense bombardment across the city hospitals. The civilians have suffered a lot. There should be collective efforts to seek a peaceful solution to the conflict.
