Lalu’s remark about PM’s family
During an INDI alliance rally, the RJD supremo criticized Modi, questioning his adherence to Hindu traditions for not shaving his head after his mother’s demise. He further insinuated that Modi’s lack of a family contributes to his hostility towards other political parties, whose members, he claimed, are driven by their children’s involvement in politics to serve the public. This rhetoric attempts to portray Modi as disconnected from traditional values and familial responsibilities, while implying that his political opponents are more rooted in the concerns of the common people due to their family ties and personal stakes in governance

Not giving any chances to the opposition leading from the front, the Prime Minister and top BJP ministers updated their social media accounts with “Modi ka parivar” today as a show of support. The leaders who added the term “Modi’s family” to their X (formerly Twitter) handles include Mr. Shah, Mr. Nadda, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Mr. Anurag Thakur, Mr. Rajnath Singh, and other senior BJP leaders and former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Alongside Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, and Pushkarr Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand,
This campaign is on the lines of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections “Main Bhi Chowkidar,” which was started to counter the opposition’s “Chowkidar Chor hai” jab to the prime minister, which benefited the Bjp in their stupendous election results of 2019 and let them win 303 seats on their own.
During a rally in Telangana, the PM reiterated his stance, highlighting that his family encompasses every citizen of the nation, including the marginalized and disadvantaged. This strategy seeks to resonate with voters by portraying the PM as a leader dedicated to the welfare of all Indians, irrespective of background or status, potentially bolstering support for the BJP ahead of the upcoming elections.
Sudhanshu Trivedi slams RJD at a press conference
During a news conference, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi made scathing remarks against the INDIA bloc, accusing them of disregarding Hindu sentiments and denigrating various Indian languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, Dalit, and North and South Indian dialects. Trivedi asserted that the INDIA bloc’s political agenda seeks to fragment India for their own gain, echoing the divisive tactics of a certain political family. He warned against supporting forces advocating for India’s disintegration, suggesting they aim to control separate factions for political dominance. Trivedi’s comments reflect growing tensions and ideological clashes within India’s political landscape, emphasizing the BJP’s stance against perceived threats to national unity and integrity.
Congress stands behind Lalu Prasad’s remarks
In the meantime, the Congress supported Lalu Prasad, an ally of the INDI alliance, Pawan Kumar while talking to media persons criticized the Prime Minister’s “Modi ka parivar” campaign, citing farmer suicides and youth unemployment as evidence of government failures. Speaking to the media, he argued that if the PM truly considered everyone as family, such issues wouldn’t persist. This statement underscores the opposition’s dissatisfaction with the BJP’s governance and aims to highlight perceived shortcomings in addressing critical socio-economic challenges facing the country.
