Introduction
In his address to Lok Sabha, PM strongly claimed that with more than 370 seats BJP will return to power for a third consecutive term in Lok Sabha and NDA will cross the mark of 400. During his speech in Lok Sabha on Monday arguably his last speech of the 17th Lok Sabha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a striking attack on the Congress party and the Gandhi family. He slammed the Congress party for its cancel culture and made it solely responsible for the failure of opposition unity.
Such a strong statement by the Prime Minister in Lok Sabha is been analyzed in various ways. Firstly, through such a statement Prime Minister is trying to create psychological pressure on the opposition and trying to build the perception among the public that ‘Ayenga to Modi’ and secondly, the PM is taking a jibe on the failure of I.N.D.I.A Bloc called it ‘Ghamandia Gathbandhan’ and compared it with ‘Bhanumati ka kunba’ Prime Minister said that the country is now convinced that the opposition has taken a resolution to remain in opposition for decades while the BJP will return to power.
Attack on opposition
In his 90-minute speech in Lok Sabha, he repeatedly targeted Rahul Gandhi and his ongoing Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and said that the Congress shop is on the verge of closure in the attempt to launch the same product again and again. he said you are in power for several decades sitting on (treasury benches) but now you have been sitting on the opposition benches. now people will further bless you and keep you there and soon you will be seen in public galleries of the houses, he added.
He also launched a sharp attack on dynasty politics. and made a distinction between what dynastic politics means, it means when the party prioritizes members of the family rather than the party itself, and all the major decisions are taken by family members only which is called dynastic politics. the opposition has lost all the courage to fight the elections and is worried about their defeat from now only.
Work of BJP government
The Prime Minister emphasized the ‘Modi ki guarantee’ and achievements of 10 years of the BJP government, which has improved sanitation, provided houses to the poor, and ensured 24×7 electricity and water connections to every household. He said, that his third term would be of major decision and would set the tone for the country’s development for the next 1000 Years. He further added, that in his third term, the country will become the third-largest economy in the world.
Prime Minister replied to the opposition accusing the center of misuse of its investigating agencies and said, ‘agencies are independent and autonomous and they are acting against the corruption whoever want to blame the government keeps doing but I had assured the people of India that I will take actions against the corruption and will continue to do so. I will not let anybody Loot this country, and those who have looted will have to return it.
Conclusion
In a nutshell, the Prime Minister’s speech was more like an election speech rather than on motion of thanks to the president’s address. He has utilized the platform of Parliament very efficiently to address the people of India before the election. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi focused his attacks on Congress, he was reluctant to speak up against regional parties.
Though BJP has defeated the Congress party twice in the parliamentary election it has found it difficult to win against the regional parties in state elections. The prime Minister is claiming 370+ seats for the BJP, but there are around 200 seats that which BJP has never won and these are against the regional parties. How the BJP will manage to cross these 370 marks will be interesting to watch out for.
