Bodies of four victims, including a 2 year old child, from the Jammu and Kashmir terror attack arrived in Jaipur

On 9th june 2024 , four people including a two year old child were found killed in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. The bodies were identified as Rajendra Sani 42 year old, Mamta, Pooja Sani and a two year old kid named Titu. Rajendra Sani is identified to be a cloth merchant. All these people belonged to the same family. Pooja Sani’s husband was injured and now is admitted in the hospital. The bodies were handed over to the relatives who later took the bodies to their hometown in the pooja express and were taken to Harmada and Chomu by the deceased’s family members and relatives.

The family was travelling for a pilgrimage in a bus when the terror attack had happened. Along with this family, three others were also killed during the attack when the terrorists opened fire on Sunday evening.The bus was a 53 seater bus and was reportedly travelling to the Shiv Khori temple at Katra.But the bus lost its control when the terrorists opened the fire resulting in the death of four passengers in the bus. 

The family who died were allies from the jaipur district It’s also reported that the government will take initiatives to bring in compensation to the family. Protests were held in Chomu police station jaipur  demanding compensation to the families who suffered during the attack.

Another family who was injured 

Along with this family another eight member family ailing from uttar pradesh was also injured during this terror attack. All the members survived but are now admitted in the hospital in Katra due to their injuries that happened in the course of the attack. 

While speaking  with ANI, a relative of Dinesh Gupta, who was injured in the attack, revealed that local authorities informed them about Dinesh being admitted to the intensive care unit. Dinesh had travelled to the area on June 4th and planned to return on June 10th. The relative spoke to Dinesh and confirmed he is doing okay. In total, eight family members are currently receiving treatment at Narayana Hospital in the Katra district. 

Army’s action against the attack in Jammu and Kashmir

42 people who travelled in the bus have reported to have injuries due to the attack.They are all admitted in a hospital in Katra.The army officials have undergone search operations in the area where the incident took place to understand the causes of the attack.Jammu and Kashmir police suspect the militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) carried out the recent attack. In response, they have formed eleven investigation teams to probe the incident thoroughly.

National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials arrived in Reasi on Monday to assess the situation following the attack. A team of forensic experts are also on-site collecting evidence to aid in the investigation. 

 Reports from news agency PTI identified the two victims from Uttar Pradesh’s Balrampur district as Ruby Verma and her maternal cousin Anurag Verma. According to a report, Ruby Verma, one of the victims from Balrampur, was a graduating student who also worked as a teacher at a private school. She and her cousin Anurag Verma were part of a larger pilgrimage group of 13 people from Balrampur who travelled to offer prayers at the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra. Tragically, both Ruby and Anurag were killed in the attack. Separately, Balrampur District Magistrate Arvind Singh confirmed that a group of 12 devotees from the district had embarked on the pilgrimage
