Bridgerton Season 4 – Finally Casts Yerin Ha As Sophie Beckett

Bridgerton Season 3 ended part 2 on 13^th June, 2024. On 23^rd July, 2024 Netflix announced that the 4^th season is going to be Benedict’s (Luka Thompson), Since then there was lot of speculation about who is going to be Sophie Beckett – Benedict’s love interest and the leading lady of season 4. Finally on 17^th August, 2024, Variety reported that Yerin Ha is going to play Sophie Beckett – The Lady In Silver. The Bridgerton team and Ha team have noy yet commented on it.

Who Is Yerin Ha ?

Ha is an Australian- Korean actress known for her role as Kwan Ha in the Steven Spielberg–produced television adaptation of the video game Halo (2022–2024) available on Paramount+ and she was also in the Bad Behaviour (2023) a Stan miniseries. Casting Guild of Australia named Ha the 2021 rising star. Some of her other works are Australian TV shows like “Troppo” And “Reef Break”. Ha is also set to appear in Max prequel series “Dune: Prophecy” in November this year.

Synopsis Of Season 4

Bridgerton Season 4 will be based on the third novel in Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton Series – An Offer From The Gentleman. The book revolves around the ‘bohemian’ son Benedict and how he navigates through in 19^th century London aristocratic society trying to find his purpose and Sophie Beckett. As the bastard daughter of an earl, Sophie is not treated well by her stepmother and stepsisters. She was raised in her father’s house as maid and he never publicly accepted her as his daughter.

The official synopsis is The fourth season of ‘Bridgerton’ turns its focus to the second son Benedict Despite the fact that his older and younger brothers are happily married, Benedict is unwilling to settle down — until he comes across the enchanting Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.

Cast And Crew

At the end of Season 3 there was an easter egg for the upcoming season where Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jesse) has a conversation with Benedict about their mothers’ masquerade ball. Jesse will be reprising her role has Eloise Bridgerton. Other cast members confirmed to return are Luke Newton (Colin Bridgerton) and Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Featherington) – the leads for season three. And obviously Luke Thompson will also be returning as the leading man of the season.

The fourth season of Bridgerton is slated to release in 2026. Produced by Netflix and Shondaland – Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers and Tom Verica along with Chris Van Dusen (showrunner for season 1 and season 2). Jess Brownell is the showrunner for season 3 and 4. The show is also supposed to return for season 5.
