As per a report published in the Deccan Herald, the makers came to the decision considering the lack of buzz around the film and the losses that they incurred after the release of Indian 2. The film didn’t just appear as a big black bot on Kamal Haasan’s resume, but also made things difficult for Lyca Productions financially. The production is now reportedly doing everything to revive the losses and the direct release of Indian 3 on OTT.
