Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer Home Release Date Announced With Special Features

Oppenheimer hit the theaters on 21st July 2023, a historic biography of the American Physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer played by Cillian Murphy, who developed the atomic bomb in the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos. The movie has successfully done a business of nearly 1 Billion dollars worldwide, making it the third highest grossing movie globally in 2023. The movie is now set to release digitally with special features added to recreate the IMAX experience.

Oppenheimer’s Digital Release

The epic biographical film is scheduled to release digitally and on Blu-ray on 21st November 2023. Christopher Nolan’s another masterpiece has gained huge popularity and appreciation and the movie is finally set to release digitally and also in 4K Ultra HD and DVD to have the best experience of this cinematic masterpiece. The movie’s duration is around 3 hours and the digital release will have added features to deeply understand the film and witness the life experience of Oppenheimer.

Special Features

The movie will have an extended 3 hour long special feature highlighting the behind the scenes footage and in between discussion held during the production and making of the movie. The home release of the epic biographical movie will be a treat to the fans and the 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray discs are equipped with mixed 2.20 and 1.78 aspect ratios allowing cinephiles to experience the film the same as it was in theaters.

The extended special features added in 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD versions will be presented as –

The Story Of Our Time – Making of Oppenheimer : It will be a 70 minute film featuring behind the scenes, the creation and the interviews and discussion held with Christopher Nolan and his team.

Now I Am Become Death : The discussions between the cast, crew and production sharing their personal experiences and ideas which made them passionate about the film and how it presents multiple genres.

The Luminaries : The cast of ‘Oppenheimer’ shares how they observed the script and blended them with real life figures and casted themselves into the characters.

The Manhattan Project : This part will explore how the team creatively viewed the various dimensions and recreated the historic trinity test and their dedication in developing various techniques to create the visual effects without the help of CGI.

The Devil Of The Details : The efforts of production designer Ruth De Jong and her team in creating the town of Los Alamos with detailed props and accuracy.

Walking A Mile : The makeup artists and costume team discussing the utilization of numerous clothing pieces and prosthetics used to create the environment required in ‘Oppenheimer’ casted figures.

Can You Hear The Music? : This part will feature the association between Christopher Nolan and the music composer Ludwig Göransson who created the background score and music that completely blends with the visuals and scenes of the film.
