CM Yogi Adityanath and his fellow cabinet members visited Hanuman Garhi temple on Thursday morning to offer their prayers prior to the cabinet meeting scheduled at Ramkatha Museum.

As the Ayodhya city is gearing up to inaugurate Ram mandir in January the very next year, the Uttar Pradesh cabinet will be meeting in the city on Thursday, November 9. This date holds a significant importance in history because on the same date in 2019, Supreme Court delivered their judgement in the Badri Masjid and Ram Janmabhoomi case which finally paved the way for construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

CM Yogi offered prayers with cabinet ministers

In the early morning, CM Yogi Adityanath along with his cabinet members offered their prayers at Hanuman Garhi temple to seek blessings prior to their cabinet meeting.

This will be the first meeting of the state’s cabinet minister in the holy city, Ayodhya. The Ramkatha museum will be decorated beautifully for this day along with the posters of Lord Hanuman and Lord Ram in the cabinet meeting hall.

To ensure the safety of the entire cabinet, security arrangements were done on a large scale with Anti-Terrorism cell deployed at the place.

Historical Deepotsav to be celebrated

Prior to the start of the meet, the Deputy CM addressed the cabinet and said that deepotsav will be celebrated in full grandeur and PM Modi will set a historical mark by inaugurating Ram Mandir on 22 January 2024. He further added that in the cabinet meeting today, historical decisions will be taken, beneficial for the city and whole India.

One of the cabinet ministers, Jaiveer said that this year also the city will be creating a new world record by illuminating 21 lakhs diyas in Ayodhya to break the Guinness world record set in 2021 in Ayodhya itself with 17 lakhs diyas.

District Magistrate, Nitish Kumar said that a large number of police and administration personnel are deployed at RamKatha museum and said that they are confident about the security arrangements made for people.

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University Administration has started preparing for the diyas illuminating record and has appointed volunteers across 51 ghats in order to carry out the event properly and to make the decision historic. 

Ram Mandir chief priest, Acharya Satyendra Das has provided a great welcome to Uttar Pradesh government’s decision of conducting the cabinet meet in the holy city.

This special meet has been held in the city to mark the importance of the 4th anniversary of the Supreme Court verdict on the Ram Janmabhoomi case.

Most of the cabinet ministers while giving the insights of the meeting and the topic of decision in the meet said that this is in entirety going to be a historic meet, given the significance of the date, November 9 and the divisions also that are likely to be taken will present a historical image. The cabinet ministers assured that the Diwali festival that is on November 12 will be celebrated with extreme joy at the birth place of Lord Ram, Ayodhya.

The ministers assured that the Deepotsav will also be celebrated prior Diwali to mark the historical Guinness world record.

However, the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting are yet to be disclosed or informed to the country, this meet and the time surely presents a historical view, with cabinet meeting held in Ayodhya for the first time that too during Diwali and on the date on Verdict delivered by Supreme Court on the case in 2019.
