The Rajasthan Assembly election will take place in 200 assembly constituencies. It is going to be an uphill task for Congress against the mighty BJP in the Rajasthan election. The chief minister of Rajasthan is Ashok Gehlot.

What’s Article 243K?

Just like all the other State Election Commissions, Rajasthan Election Commission was established in accordance with the twenty-fourth article of the Constitution.subsection-1 “` According to articles 243 K and 243 ZA of the constitution of India, administration, management and control of preparation of electoral roll for the purpose of conducting all elections to the gram panchayats and external bodies in the, State will have power in state elections.

What is the reason for a commission of elections?

As a guardian body, the Election Commission sees to it that the country-wide advertisements for election dates as well as the official results are made public. Instead of announcing the election date first, it dispatches its platoon to a state previously so that it can check if there is any exam going on in the institution as this plays a vital role during the general election process. Thus, it guarantees each election is done democratically. It releases a Model Code of practice.

For the first time, the commission published the Code of Conduct in 1971 for the 5th Lok Sabha elections and has made changes over time. This establishes standards on how political parties and their respective candidates should behave during campaign seasons.

The Congress released its fiat for the Rajasthan assembly choices on Tuesday.

Previously, Ashok Gehlot formally blazed seven promises  i.e., pledged that if Congress is re-elected, their seven “ guarantees ” for the people of Rajasthan.
