Construction of 100 houses for victims of wayanad’s landslides ,said Karnataka Chief Minister

On Saturday afternoon, Chief Minister of Karnataka,  Mr.Siddaramaiah tweeted in twitter that the government will extend their Support to rebuild and restore the hope and also announced an assurance of building 100 houses to the Sufferers of landslides .

From 30th July ,people from Mundakkai , chooralmala ,Meppadi  Villages of Wayanad, Kerala have become victims of multiple landslides. Heavy Rain triggered the collapse of hillsides and became the sole reason for the death and sufferings of many  people.

I have assured CM Shri @pinarayivijayan of our support and announced that Karnataka will construct 100 houses for the victims. Together, we will rebuild and restore hope,” said CM at X.

He asked Corporate Companies to extend their hands to rescue and contribute generously for the recovery and rehabilitation of people hit by destructive landslides as their monetary support will surely lead to long-term rehabilitation . Through the Corporate Social responsibility initiative , Corporates can come forward to stand with Wayanad , added CM . He also conveyed that the Karnataka government has arranged rescue teams to supply necessities and also oversees whether all rescue Operations are effective and efficient.  

Victims of landslides

So far 215 have died, more than 500 were injured and also the report says around 300 are suspected to be missing.

Kerala chief Minister Mr.Pinarayi Vijayan said on Saturday that search and rescue operations are in the final stage but still 206 people were missing. Rescue operators are striving hard to help the victims and find those missing.

State and National relief teams took incharge immediately to rescue people and more than 200 Army personnel were sent to assist the rescue operation which then extended to more than thousands of army forces.

Helping hands were extended from local to International level . Many countries Presidents expressed their sympathies to the people of Kerala . Corporate companies like Lulu group International , kalyan jewelers , Adani groups , Malabar jewelers etc. have contributed Crores to Disaster Relief Fund.
