A couple from Uttar Pradesh tragically ended their lives through suicide. In Varanasi, the husband hung himself from a ceiling fan, while upon hearing of his death, the wife jumped from a rooftop.

In a heart-wrenching tragedy that has left the community in Uttar Pradesh reeling, a young couple chose to end their lives in separate yet equally devastating acts of suicide. The sequence of events unfolded in Varanasi, where Harish Bagesh, originally from Patna, took his own life by hanging himself from a ceiling fan. Upon receiving the devastating news of her husband’s death, Sanchita Shrivastav, overwhelmed by grief, made the tragic decision to end her own life by jumping from a rooftop.

The sacred bond of marriage, pledging to live and die together, is a phrase we often hear, but this couple from Uttar Pradesh has stunned everyone by fulfilling these vows. Yes, this incident involves Harish Bagesh and Sanchita Shrivastav, residents of Uttar Pradesh. They had been in a romantic relationship since their school days and eventually got married, despite objections from both families, leading them to reside in Mumbai.

According to the police, Harish was originally from Patna and Sanchita from Gorakhpur. After their marriage, Harish was employed in a bank in Mumbai. However, due to Sanchita’s deteriorating health, her father brought her back to Gorakhpur for medical treatment. Harish subsequently left his job and relocated to Gorakhpur to be with her.

Suicide Tragedy: Harish Found Dead in Varanasi Homestay

Just about two days ago, Harish left home stating he was going to Patna, but instead, he arrived in Varanasi. There, he stayed in a homestay in Atal Nagar Colony in Sarnath. According to the homestay manager, on the morning of July 7th, some of Harish’s relatives came looking for him as his phone was unreachable. When they couldn’t open Harish’s room door, they peered through the window and discovered that Harish had hung himself from the ceiling fan.

The absence of a suicide note has left family members and  authorities grappling with questions, especially concerning the circumstances that led Harish to take such a drastic step. There are concerns that the stress of unemployment following his resignation and potential issues related to substance abuse may have played a role in his decision. Upon discovering Harish’s body, his distraught relatives immediately notified the police, who swiftly responded and transported Harish to the hospital.Tragically, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

News of Harish’s untimely death reverberated through Gorakhpur, reaching Sanchita, who was already overwhelmed with grief and despair. Unable to bear the profound loss of her beloved husband, Sanchita made the heartbreaking choice to end her own life by jumping from the terrace.

Both families are now engulfed in profound sorrow and disbelief over the sudden and tragic loss of their loved ones. Police are diligently conducting further investigations to uncover the full circumstances surrounding these devastating deaths, examining Harish’s recent activities, emotional state, and any potential triggers that may have contributed to his decision to take his own life.

Instances such as these serve as stark reminders of the immense challenges individuals and families face in navigating life’s complexities. Mental health struggles, financial pressures, and personal crises can significantly impact individuals well-being and decision-making processes. They underscore the critical need for supportive communities, accessible mental health resources, and proactive measures to alleviate the burdens individuals may carry.
