Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2024 was held in Mumbai, on Tuesday evening, February 20, 2024. Celebrities attended the grand awards festival, such as Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Nayanthara, Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, and many more. Many celebrities won the honorable award and the show was hosted by Bollywood actor Bhumi Pednekar and popular host Manish Paul.
About Dadasaheb Phalke Awards
Dadasaheb Phalke is one of the most honorable awards in Indian cinema. The award event is held by the Government of India once a year. The award was first held in 1969, in memory of Dadasaheb Phalke, who was the father of Indian Cinema.
The winner is given ₹10 lakhs as a prize and the most honorable for award winners is a shawl with ‘Swarna Kamal’ or ‘Golden Lotus’ symbolizing medal. In previous years many legendary artists were honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Last year Amitabh Bachchan was honored by our respected Government by the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his entire career of 50 years. He acted in more than 200 films and achieved numerous awards his his acting journey.
