It was revealed in a recent Times of India story that Dalip Tahil is being sentenced to two months in prison after being found guilty in a case that dates back to 2018. The actor was allegedly found guilty of driving while intoxicated and crashing his vehicle into an autorickshaw. 

The conviction, according to the article, is based on the testimony of a medical expert, whose assessment makes a compelling case for Tahil’s intoxication at the time of the occurrence. The expert testimony focused on his confused speech, dilated pupils, unsteady stride, and alcohol odor as signs of impairment during the driving incident.

Tahil has been sentenced to two months of simple jail by a magistrate court in response to this testimony. The terrible incident happened in 2018 near Khar, Mumbai, where Tahil’s car crashed with an autorickshaw, injuring the woman who was involved. Fans of the actor certainly must be disappointed and devastated to hear this news of the actor’s conviction. 

A magistrate’s court declared Dalip Tahil guilty, according to a report on Live Mint, the report relied on the evidence of the doctor who opined that smell of the alcohol was found and pupils were dilated. The actor had declined to give the police a sample of his blood to be tested for alcohol when he was arrested in 2018.

According to news tabloids, He tried to escape, but the Ganesh Visarjan processions caused a traffic bottleneck. According to reports, the passengers confronted Dalip after catching up to his automobile. It is reported that he shoved them around and got into a fight. The police were called, and the actor was placed under arrest. The actor is yet to make a comment regarding his sentencing.

The passengers were recognised as Gaurav Chugh, 22, and Jenita Gandhi, 21. Ms. Gandhi’s back and neck took a serious hit as a result of the incident. As Mr. Chugh and Ms. Gandhi got off the auto rickshaw, they noticed the automobile was attempting to drive away towards Santacruz. The street was congested because of Ganeshotsav immersion processions, making it impossible for the automobile to go very far, a Khar police officer told the Hindu.
