Upon Deepika’s unveiling of her character’s first look, fans got to see her new character Shakti Shetty, a police officer in Singham. The first look received stellar reactions from Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh.
In Singham Again, Deepika Padukone is expected to play a significant part. She debuted her police outfit from the Rohit Shetty movie on Sunday. “Introducing… Shakti Shetty! Singham Again,” Deepika wrote on Instagram, posting two images of herself brandishing a rifle and wearing a uniform. Stars have responded to her appearance in droves. “Lady Singham,” as Ranveer dubbed her.
The description of the first look of the actress’s character is as follows with a gun in her lips and her other hand gripping the man’s hair, a bloodied Deepika laughed aloud. A blazing structure served as the background, and they were surrounded by a large number of bodies and car wrecks. In another picture, Deepika grinned while holding the pistol up to her face.
Deepika Padukone’s spouse actor Ranveer Singh responded to the first look post by saying, Aag Laga degi which translates to she will burn it down. Additionally, the daughter of late actress Sridevi, actor Janhvi Kapoor posted several emoticons, including fire and an exploding head. Samantha added “OMG” with numerous fire emojis next to Deepika’s official appearance from her Instagram image.
Furthermore, Alia Bhatt used a lot of fire emojis. Also, Ranveer posted Deepika’s posters to Instagram with the caption, “Aali re Aali, The Cop-verse welcomes Shakti Shetty! Lady Singham Aali!!!!! Which translates to she is coming, she is coming, the female Singham is coming.
According to a Bollywood Hungama story from earlier in August, Deepika Padukone is expected to play a significant role in the movie. A source revealed that the sensational actress is excited to play a role in Singham Again by Rohit Shetty.
She will be playing the first female cop of the Rohit Shetty Universe and has already begun the preparation to ease into the action-packed part. Deepika’s character is supposed to be a Lady Singham and the angle the movie intends to take is for the character to be Ajay Devgn’s sister in the film.
According to the insider who spoke with the portal, Deepika has an extended role that will take 35–40 days to shoot. The role is well-written and goes beyond a mere cameo. The insider stated that Deepika will be filming for 35 to 40 days, and it will be more akin to a formal extended presence in Singham.
Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone will be joining director Rohit Shetty’s cop universe with his upcoming film Singham Again, the director stated to PTI last year.
The actor-director team recently cooperated on the song Current Laga from Shetty’s next film Cirkus. They previously worked together on the action-comedy 2019 Chennai Express.
