On Friday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that he must surrender on June 2 and return to Tihar Jail. The Supreme Court of India granted him temporary bail in the money laundering case so that he may campaign for Lok Sabha elections.

The Enforcement Directorate has earlier arrested Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. During a press conference, Kejriwal made the announcement that he would be returning to Tihar Jail after completing his election campaign.

Although he expressed uncertainty regarding the duration of his imprisonment, he emphasized that his spirits remained high and undeterred. Kejriwal conveyed a sense of pride in his decision to go to jail, stating that it was a means to protect the country from a potential dictatorship.Furthermore, Kejriwal highlighted the attempts made to silence him and questioned the motives behind these actions.

He mentioned that while in jail, he had been subjected to various forms of torture, which included the denial of necessary medication. These experiences raised concerns about the treatment he received and the intentions behind the mistreatment.

Kejriwal’s remarks shed light on his determination to continue fighting for his principles, despite the challenges he faced. His statement not only conveyed his commitment to protecting democracy but also raised important questions about the state of affairs and the treatment of individuals who voice dissenting opinions.

The chief minister has made a statement declaring his intention to leave his home and surrender himself at 3 pm on June 2. He has also expressed concerns about potential mistreatment by the ruling party while in prison, suggesting that they may subject him to further torture.

However, he remains steadfast in his resolve, stating that he will not bow down regardless of his living conditions, whether inside or outside of prison. In addition, the chief minister has reassured the public that the development work in Delhi will not come to a halt even if he is incarcerated.

He specifically mentions that initiatives such as free electricity, mohalla clinics, hospitals, free medicines, treatment, and 24-hour electricity will continue to be provided.Furthermore, the chief minister has announced a future plan of providing financial support to mothers and sisters, pledging to give 1000 rupees every month to each individual.

He then takes a moment to appeal to the public, requesting assistance and prayers for his family, particularly his elderly and ailing mother, whom he worries about greatly while in jail.Due to his sudden and unexplained weight loss coupled with high ketone levels, which can be indicative of kidney problems, serious cardiac ailments, or even cancer, the chief minister has submitted a request for an extension of his interim bail.

He intends to undergo a series of medical tests, including a PET-CT scan, to properly diagnose his condition and receive necessary treatment.

The Delhi Chief Minister is facing charges of corruption and money laundering in relation to the excise policy scam.

These charges are related to the development and implementation of the Delhi government’s excise policy for the year 2021-22, which has since been discarded.
