Delhi’s alcoholic man tries to kill 2 children after argument with wife

Alcoholic man from Delhi tried to allegedly try to kill his two minor kids after he had an argument with his wife. The man was 35 years old and was in the habit of drinking alcohol.

Being intoxicated, alcoholic man later attempted suicide. The police informed that both the minor kids and the man are receiving medical treatment at the nearby hospital.

Police reports state that the man was named Rakesh and he was the resident of JJ Colony in Delhi. He was unemployed for a long period of time and gradually fell into the habit of consuming alcohol, thus reaching the stage of alcoholic man.

Alcoholic man tries to kill his children

During a media interview, the senior police officer reports that Rakesh was alcoholic and he had a heated spat with his wife, after which he tried to kill two of his children, aged two years and five years. After allegedly trying to kill them, he later tried to put his own life at stake and attempted suicide.

There has been a similar incident reported in the Gotiya village of Uttar Pradesh who is again 35 years old and tried to burn his wife alive after catching her cheating on him with some other man. The body of his wife was discovered from the jurisdiction of Shahi Police station, police reported. 

Victim Anjali’s family has accused his husband, Nepal Singh of committing such a horrific crime against her. On the basis of these accusations by the victim Anjali’s family, the police arrested his husband, Nepal Singh on the murder charges against him. During the questioning in the custody period, Nepal Singh himself admitted of burning his wife alive in rage due to her extramarital affair with some other man.

Another incident of such horrific crime

Nepal Singh further detailed about the crime and informed that on a saturday night he saw his wife Anjali lying with some other man on the stack and after seeing this he out of anger set the fire to this stack and left her alive wife burning. The identity of the man with whom his wife had an extramarital affair is yet unknown. The dead body of Anjali had been sent for postmortem examination to further discover the case.

Another such case was also reported in Bengaluru which reported that the husband burns his wife alive with petrol after he suspected his wife of having an extramarital affair with some other person.

All these provide insights just to the reported case, there are a lot more such horrific crimes that have not been registered as complaints in police stations, thus it does not provide a true picture, crimes of these sorts are much more in numbers as compared to the actual reported cases.

There is an instant need to provide proper law and order to combat such sort of crimes. Victims must also be provided with a safe platform so that they can raise their complaints and voices against such horrific crimes.

All the laws should be implemented properly with no loopholes or corruptions. The procedure for investigation should also be done without any kind of biases and people must be provided with educational opportunities to learn and grow in life so that they can prove to be an asset for the society and not a liability. Timely delivery of justice should also be focused to prevent such heinous crimes.
