1

On Saturday, During a public campaign rally by Donald Trump, the former US President had to face an attempt to assassination by a 20 year old named Thomas Matthew Crooks from Pennsylvania however the bullet only went through Trump’s ear and further investigations are going on.

The man was shot and killed on the spot as soon as the bullet hit Donald Trump. He was rushed off the stage and had blood all over his face and a spectator was killed in the chaos while 2 were critically injured and taken to the hospital immediately.

The motive behind this attempt is still unknown but it will for sure impact the voting, campaigning and political agendas of people towards the upcoming presidential elections according to experts.

Immediately after the bullet hit the former US president, he was seen raising his fist to the crowd with blood dripping down his entire face creating a historic and impactful picture as nothing like this was witnessed since the last decade. This attempt also creates a difficult situation for the current US president, Joe Biden as this incident raises questions on the matters of security. This situation has brought a significant shift to the political landscape and the expectations of the upcoming elections.

The major possible consequence is that during the Republican National Convention, Trump has stated that he will still attend the 4 day convention. After the attack, Trump gave a statement thanking the Secret Service and law enforcement and also expressed his condolences to the other victims.

Brinkley stated that there is something in the US Spirit that likes seeing people under pressure having courage and Trump held his fist high which will probably become a new symbol.

However, this is not the first attack as Trump has now become the 13th US President or candidate to face an assassination and also 8th to survive.
