The upcoming Rajkumar Hirani directorial film – Dunki is all set to release on 21st December and the film’s promotion is going on with full enthusiasm. Currently, Dunki’s fever has taken Dubai by storm. The iconic Burj Khalifa was lit up with the trailer of the film. During this screening, a total of 1,00,000 fans gathered to cheer for their idol.
Shah Rukh and the entire team also visited other parts of the city for the promotion of the film. They received a grand welcome at VOX Cinema Dubai. They also visited the spectacular Global Village where they unveiled the Dunki Diaries. The event was a candid talk between the cast – SRK, Tapsee Pannu and director Rajkumar Hirani.
Rajkumar Hirani surprised the fans by releasing a new song titled Banda, sung by the talented Diljeet Dosanjh. The song is dedicated to Hardy’s (Shah Rukh) character. The song is receiving positive reviews from fans. “Tum jo maang loge dil toh yeh jaan dega Banda, vaadon ka iraadon ka aur apne yaaron ka yaar,” Shah Rukh said, sharing the song on X (formerly Twitter). Drone Show at Burj Khalifa for Shah Rukh Khan
The highlight of the event was the drone show organized near the Burj Khalifa. This has happened for the first ever to celebrate a movie and none other than Shah Rukh Khan. A breathtaking drone show illuminated the skies with Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic pose of spreading arms wide and looking up at the sky.
The superstar along with his team witnessed the show while taking a boat ride in the Burj Khalifa Lake. He also did the pose from the boat for his fans who were cheering for him from the beginning. The drone also formed the actor’s name, the release date, the director’s name, and even an airplane which left the audience awestruck. The images of the event have now gone viral on social media.
Shah Rukh’s Performance in Dubai
The Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan danced to the tunes of his upcoming movie songs “Lutt Putt Gaya and “O Maahi”. Addressing his fans- the Pathaan actor expressed his gratitude to all his fans who showed up in huge numbers to celebrate with him. Styled in a red leather jacket, the actor looked stunning as always.
He thanked them for showering love and kindness on him for all the years. He urged his fans to watch his movie which he described as a flavour of love crafted by his team.
Dunki’s advance booking collection
According to a few reports the film has already collected 11.15 crores by selling approximately 3,93,772 tickets. The trailer also garnered 7.2 crore views on YouTube.
Dunki is set to clash with another much-anticipated movie of the year Salaar starring the Darling star – Prabhas who is returning to the silver screen after his last movie – Adi Purush which tanked at the box office. Salaar will hit the theatres on 22nd December.
About Dunki
The plot is about four friends – Manu (Taapsee Panu) Buggu (Vikram Kochhar), Sukhi (Vicky Kaushal), and Balli (Anil Grover) who dream of going to London, England. Hardy (Shah Rukh Khan) helps them to get there. The premise of the movie is about illegal immigration by donkey flights. The film also has Bomman Irani (Gulati) and Dia Mirza in the supporting roles
