On Saturday, the police dismantled an advanced drug trafficking scheme by apprehending a former Panjab University student.

The accused, Damanpreet, who was previously studying Punjabi literature at the university, was discovered to be running a highly organized operation. He obtained drugs from suppliers in border districts without the need for upfront payments.

According to the police, the suppliers initially set a 25 gm threshold for the supplied drugs, which would rise gradually depending on sales achievements.

The subsequent time, the supplier would raise the illicit substance amount to 30 gm, and the process would be carried out in a similar fashion.
