Mr. and Mrs. Mahi is romantic sports story directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Karan Johar, Zee Studios, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta. The movie focuses on the connection between an arranged marriage couple on their participated passion and love for justice.

Mahendra Agarwal played by Rajkumar Rao has always dreamt of joining the cricket team but fails miserably after that he was forced by his father to carry forward his family business. His parents also arranges his marriage to a doctor Mahima played by Janhvi Kapoor. The film starts with the most unrealistic and outdated approach because she agrees for the marriage stating that he’s “ honest ” which the followership cannot reverberate with.
The film also revolves around their life on how Mahendra gets to know about her love for cricket and how he thinks that he can fulfil his long lost dream via his woman not minding about her limited cricket experience which is constricted to “ gully cricket ”. The film again proves its impracticable approach in real life by Mahima fluently giving up on her job as a doctor by a bare push from her husband on how her real passion and love for cricket and how she was forced be a doctor which is not her real passion which is perceived as unworkable in real life.
The main part of film in which they show the cricket practices and matches lacks enthusiasm and energy. The showcasing of an being an athlete as “ easy ” develop a fault and the writer fails to actually concentrate on extreme call of this career. This seems infelicitous throughout the whole movie. The movie also focuses on the need of validation by Mahendra after her wife’s success and the pride and ego clashes between the couple.
Rajkumar Rao again proves his talent in the movie and shows how unstoppable he is, his work to a show a flawed character is worth the watch adding depth to the movie, Janhvi delivers a decent performance. All the other supporting characters in the movie did justice to their character.
The audience still gave mixed reviews of the movie. Some of people labelled the movie as “ fairly decent ” while some said it’s a good watch movie, some of the people also blamed the movie for a predictable plot and lack of energy in the main scenes.

Replying to the positive reviews received by the film, Janhvi stated how thankful she’s for the love she has been receiving for the film. She also said how the love she receives motivates her to push herself indeed more and mould herself into the craft of acting.
Mr. and Mrs. Mahi was the second collaboration of the lead stars who worked together in the movie, Roohi and also the director Sharan Sharma and Jahnvi Kapoor who worked together in the film, Gunjan Saxena The Kargil Girl.
